Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2025

Introduction:
Jaaspire (“we” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Jaaspire website and services (the “Service”). It also describes your rights and choices regarding your personal information and how we comply with global privacy laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). By using Jaaspire, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

Information We Collect

We collect “Personal Information” (also called personal data) meaning any information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to you. This includes information you provide directly to us, information we collect automatically about your use of Jaaspire, and information from third parties. Specifically, we may collect:

  • Account and Contact Information: When you register or create a profile on Jaaspire, we collect information such as your name, username, email address, password, and any other details you provide (e.g. profile biography or photo).
  • Content and Communications: We collect the content you create, upload, or share on Jaaspire, such as posts, photos, comments, and messages. This includes any personal information you include in that content. We also collect information you provide if you contact us for support or communicate with us in any way.
  • Device and Usage Information: When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain technical information about your device and how you interact with our platform. This includes your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates/times of access. We gather this through server logs and tracking technologies like cookies (small data files stored on your device), log files, scripts, and similar tools. This “Usage Data” helps us analyze and improve how users experience Jaaspire.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to remember your preferences and authenticate your session, so you don’t have to log in repeatedly. Cookies also help us understand how users navigate our site and use our features, and they can be used for analytics and advertising purposes. These technologies often include a unique identifier to recognize your browser or device. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can visit cookiesandyou.com. (See the Cookies section below for more details.)
  • Payment and Transaction Information: If you make any purchases or financial transactions through Jaaspire (for example, buying premium features or other services), we will collect information related to the transaction. However, we use third-party payment processors (such as Stripe or others) to handle payment data. This means we do not collect or store your sensitive financial information (like credit card numbers). We may retain basic transaction details such as the date/time of transactions and a transaction ID or confirmation from the payment processor for record-keeping (for example, we store PayPal transaction IDs for dispute resolution). This “Order Information” is treated as Personal Information.

Personal Information, as used in this Policy, includes all of the above categories of information to the extent they relate to an identified or identifiable individual. We collect this information either directly from you, automatically through your use of the Service, or from third-party sources as needed to operate the Service.

Minors (Children’s Privacy)

Jaaspire is intended for adults 18 years of age and older only. The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children or minors. Persons under the age of 18, are not allowed to use Jaaspire or submit any information to us. We do not intentionally collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child (under 18) has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us so we can delete that data.

Age Verification

When you create an account or first access Jaaspire, we present an age‑confirmation screen that requires you to (a) enter your date of birth or (b) affirmatively check a box stating: “I confirm that I am at least 18years old and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.” By completing this step, you self‑declare that you are legally an adult.

What we collect and store

  • The fact that you confirmed you are 18+ (e.g., a timestamp and your selected birth date or checkbox response).
  • A log entry linking that confirmation to your account or device/IP address.

No government ID, biometric image, credit‑card detail, or other sensitive data is gathered for this method.

Reliance on user attestation

Self‑declaration relies on your honest representation of age. While this approach minimizes data collection, it may be vulnerable to users who misstate their age. Providing false information violates our Terms of Service. If we discover—or have reasonable grounds to believe—that an account is held by someone under 18, we will:

  1. Suspend or terminate the account;
  2. Delete or anonymize associated personal information, except where retention is legally required; and
  3. Block future access attempts from the associated email, username, or device.

Data retention

The age‑confirmation record (date/time and “18+ confirmed flag) is retained in your account metadata for as long as your account remains active so we can demonstrate compliance with age‑restriction laws. If you delete your account, that record is removed or anonymized in the same manner as other account data, subject to any legal retention requirements (e.g., fraud‑prevention logs).

No additional use

We do not use the age‑confirmation data for profiling, marketing, or any purpose other than verifying eligibility to use Jaaspire and enforcing our age‑restriction policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use Personal Information for the following purposes, in accordance with applicable law, to operate, improve, and protect our Service and to communicate with you. The ways we use your information include:

  • Provide and Maintain the Service: We process your registration and account details to create your account and allow you to log in. We use your information to enable you to create content (posts, photos, comments) and to facilitate social features such as finding and connecting with friends. We also use data to maintain the functionality, security, and performance of Jaaspire.
  • Communicate with You: We use contact information (like your email) to send important account or transaction notices, updates about our Service, and respond to your inquiries. For example, we may send verification emails, password reset messages, customer support responses, or notifications about changes to our terms or policy.
  • Personalize and Improve the Service: We analyze how users interact with Jaaspire to understand usage trends and preferences. This helps us improve our platform’s design, features, and content. It also allows us to personalize your experience, such as showing you relevant content or recommendations.
  • Provide Relevant Offers and Marketing (with Consent): If you opt in, we may use your information (such as email or in-app preferences) to send you newsletters, updates, or offers about new features and services from Jaaspire. We will only do so in line with the preferences you have shared and applicable law (e.g. obtaining consent where required). You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Safety and Security: We use information (including automated tools) to monitor, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, suspicious, or illegal activities on Jaaspire. For example, we may use your IP address and other usage data to detect potential fraud or misuse. We also enforce our Community Guidelines and Terms to protect our users – for instance, detecting spam or harassment and taking action on accounts that violate our policies.
  • Legal Compliance: We process and may retain your information as needed to comply with our legal obligations. For example, we might keep records of transactions for tax and accounting purposes, or use your data to fulfill reporting or audit requirements.
  • Other Purposes with Your Consent: If we want to use your Personal Information for a purpose not described in this Policy, we will ask for your consent if required. We will only use or share your information in a manner consistent with what we have disclosed to you.

We will not use your Personal Information for purposes that are incompatible with the ones listed above without notifying you and obtaining your consent if required.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

As noted, Jaaspire uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to provide and improve our Service. A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer or device when you visit a website, often including a unique identifier. We use cookies for several reasons:

  • Essential Cookies: These cookies are necessary for the website to function. For example, they keep you logged in as you navigate between pages and help us authenticate user accounts.
  • Functional Cookies: These remember your preferences and settings to enhance your experience (for instance, language preferences or volume settings for videos).
  • Analytics Cookies: We use cookies and third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics) to collect information about how users use Jaaspire. This helps us understand traffic patterns, see which features are popular, and identify areas for improvement. The information is collected in aggregate form (for example, total number of visitors, pages viewed, time spent) and does not directly identify individual users.
  • Advertising Cookies: (If applicable) In the future, if we display advertisements or sponsored content, cookies may be used to deliver relevant ads based on your interests and to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns. We do not currently serve third-party ads, but if we do, we will update this Policy accordingly.

You have choices about cookies. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default, but you can usually modify your browser settings to remove or reject cookies. Please note that disabling cookies might affect the functionality of the Service (for example, you may not be able to stay logged in). For more information on cookies and how to manage them, you can visit an educational resource like cookiesandyou.com.

Do Not Track: “Do Not Track” (DNT) is a preference you can set in your web browser to signal that you do not want to be tracked. Currently, Jaaspire does not respond to Do Not Track signals in browsers. In other words, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect a DNT signal from your browser. There is no universal standard for DNT signals, so we treat all users’ data consistently under this Policy.

Third-Party Analytics: We use third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics to understand how users find and use our Service. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect Usage Data and report website trends. Google may also use the data collected to contextualize and personalize ads on its own advertising network. You can read more about how Google uses your information in Google’s Privacy Policy. If you wish, you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by using other privacy browser settings. We do not share any personally identifying information with Google; Google Analytics provides aggregated analytics.

How We Share Your Information

Jaaspire does not sell or rent your Personal Information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share your information only in the limited ways described below, and only for legitimate business or legal purposes. These are the circumstances under which we may disclose personal information:

  • Service Providers and Partners: We share information with trusted third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. This includes companies that assist with website hosting, data storage, analytics, email delivery, customer support, and payment processing. For example, we may share certain Usage Data with analytics providers (like Google Analytics) to help us understand usage patterns, as described above. We require all service providers to use personal information solely to provide services to us and to protect it under strict confidentiality obligations. They do not have the right to use your data for their own unrelated purposes.
  • Legal Requirements and Safety: We may disclose personal information if we in good faith believe such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or request. This includes responding to subpoenas, court orders, or other government requests, and to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. We may also share information as needed to enforce our Terms and policies, to detect or investigate fraud or security issues, and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Jaaspire, our users, or others. For example, if required by law, we might provide information to authorities to investigate illegal activity on the platform.
  • Business Transfers: If Jaaspire is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, financing due diligence, reorganization, or sale of all or part of its assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity as part of that transaction. For instance, if another company acquires Jaaspire, user information would likely be one of the assets transferred to that company. In such cases, we will ensure the successor honors the commitments in this Privacy Policy or provide you notice and choice if your data becomes subject to a new privacy policy.
  • With Your Consent or Direction: We may share your information with third parties when you direct us to do so or with your explicit consent. For example, if Jaaspire offers an option to share content to another platform (like sharing a post to a social media account), we will do so only at your request. Similarly, if we ever participate in a cross-promotion with another organization and you opt in, we might share contact information for that specific purpose.
  • Sharing with Other Users: Content that you post or make publicly available on Jaaspire (such as posts, comments, or profile information you designate as public) will be visible to other users on the platform. Once you share information publicly, we cannot control how others might use or share that content. Please keep this in mind when you choose to disclose personal information in your profile or posts. (This is information you choose to share, not something we sell or disclose for our own purposes.)
  • Affiliates: If Jaaspire is part of a group of related companies (affiliates or subsidiaries), we may share information within that corporate group in order to operate and improve services. Any such affiliates will honor this Privacy Policy. (At present, Jaaspire’s services are operated by a single company, but if this changes in the future, we will update our disclosures.)

No Sale of Personal Information: Jaaspire does not sell personal information to third parties, and we have not sold personal information in the past 12 months. “Sale” in this context means the sharing of personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, as defined by the CCPA. Because we do not sell or share personal data for targeted advertising, you do not need to opt out of the sale of your information. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide a means for you to opt out.

International Data Transfers

Jaaspire is based in and operates from the United States, and we may process personal information in the U.S. and other countries. If you are located outside of the United States (for example, in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), be aware that your personal data will be transferred to and stored on servers in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers are located. Data protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your home country. However, we take steps to ensure your data is given an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.

When we transfer personal data out of the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards in accordance with GDPR requirements. These safeguards may include:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses: We may use the European Commission’s approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in our contracts with recipients of the data. The SCCs are standardized terms which legally bind the recipient to protect your data to EU privacy standards. This mechanism helps guarantee that personal information transferred outside the EEA will remain protected in line with European levels of data protection.
  • Adequacy Decisions: In some cases, we may transfer data to countries that the European Commission has deemed to have an “adequate” level of data protection (meaning they offer protections essentially equivalent to EU law). In such cases, transfers are permitted under GDPR without additional safeguards.
  • Other Safeguards: We may also rely on other lawful transfer mechanisms, such as your consent for specific transfers, or as otherwise permitted by GDPR (for example, transfers necessary for the performance of a contract with you).

You can contact us for more information about the safeguards we have in place for international data transfers. By using our Service, you understand that your personal information may be transferred to the United States and other jurisdictions as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are a user in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we must have a valid legal basis to process your personal data under the GDPR/UK GDPR. Depending on the circumstance, Jaaspire processes personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent: We process certain data based on your consent. For example, if you sign up for marketing emails or if we ask for permission to access device features or sensitive data, we rely on consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Performance of a Contract: We process personal data as necessary to perform our contract with you – namely, to provide the Jaaspire Service and fulfill the agreements governing your use of the platform. For instance, when you create an account and agree to our Terms, processing your profile information, posts, and communications is necessary to deliver the Service you requested.
  • Legal Obligation: We process personal data to comply with our legal obligations. For example, maintaining transaction records for tax compliance, or responding to valid legal requests for information, relies on this basis.
  • Vital Interests: In rare cases, we may process data to protect someone’s vital interests. For example, if we became aware of an emergency situation involving risk of serious harm to a person, we might share information to help prevent harm – but only if absolutely necessary.
  • Public Interest: If processing is necessary for the public interest, we may rely on this basis. This is uncommon for our activities, but an example might be if we were required to process data for public health or law enforcement purposes as authorized by law.
  • Legitimate Interests: We process data as needed for Jaaspire’s legitimate interests (or those of a third party), except where overridden by your data protection rights. We have a legitimate interest in operating and improving our services, securing our platform, preventing fraud, and providing a good user experience. We always consider and balance any potential impact on your rights when relying on this basis, and we do not use legitimate interests as a basis when your fundamental rights and freedoms outweigh our interests. For example, using cookies for analytics and fraud prevention may be considered our legitimate interest, in a proportionate way.

If you have questions about the specific legal basis for any particular processing of your personal data, please contact us (see the Contact Us section below). We will explain how your data is processed and on what grounds.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you have certain rights regarding your personal information. Jaaspire is committed to honoring your rights and has processes in place for you to exercise them.

Rights of Individuals in the EEA/UK

If you reside in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following data subject rights under GDPR and UK data protection law:

  • Right to Be Informed: You have the right to be informed about how we collect and use your personal data (fulfilled by this Privacy Policy and any related notices).
  • Right of Access: You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, and to obtain a copy of that information in a common format. This allows you to verify we’re processing it lawfully.
  • Right to Rectification: You have the right to ask us to correct or update your personal information if it is inaccurate or incomplete. We encourage you to keep your profile information up-to-date, and we will honor requests to rectify any errors.
  • Right to Erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances (“right to be forgotten”). For example, you can request that we delete your data if it’s no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, or if you withdraw consent and we have no other legal basis to continue processing. Please note we might not be able to delete data that we are required to keep by law or which is necessary to fulfill our contract with you (such as basic account information while you still have an account). We will inform you if any such exception applies in a deletion request.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict (pause) the processing of your personal data under certain conditions. For instance, if you contest the accuracy of your information or object to our processing, you can request a temporary restriction while we address your concern.
  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to obtain your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and to have that information transmitted to another service/provider (when technically feasible). This right applies to personal data you have provided to us and that we process by automated means based on your consent or a contract.
  • Right to Object: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data in certain situations. You can always object to the use of your data for direct marketing purposes, and we will honor that absolutely. You can also object if our processing is based on legitimate interests or public interest, and you have particular reasons to object based on your situation. We will consider your objection and stop or adjust processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the processing is needed for legal claims.
  • Right Not to be Subject to Automated Decisions: Jaaspire does not currently make any decisions about you that have legal or similar significant effects solely by automated means (without human involvement). If that changes, you would have the right not to be subject to such decisions without safeguards, and you could request human review of any automated decision.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: If we are processing your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. For example, you can opt out of marketing emails by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email, or adjust any consent-based settings on your account. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we already performed based on your consent before it was withdrawn.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: If you believe we have infringed your data protection rights or processed your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority (DPA) or supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address your concerns directly, but you are free to contact the authorities at any time.

To exercise your rights, please contact us using the information in the Contact Us section. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable law (generally within one month for GDPR requests). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, to ensure we do not disclose your data to an unauthorized person.

Rights of California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have specific privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These rights (some of which apply in certain circumstances and subject to exceptions) include:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the categories of personal information, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. You also have the right to request a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months (this is similar to the access right described above).
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. For example, we may retain information needed to complete transactions you’ve requested, to detect security incidents, for legal compliance, or other exceptions permitted by law. If you request deletion, we will delete your personal information from our records (and direct our service providers to do the same) unless an exception applies.
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you. We will take into account the nature of the personal information and the purposes of processing when considering correction requests.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: You have the right to opt out of the “sale” of your personal information or the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. As noted earlier, Jaaspire does not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for targeted advertising without consent. Therefore, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at this time. In the event our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide a clear opt-out mechanism as required by law.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: If we collect sensitive personal information (as defined by California law), you have the right to direct us to limit the use or disclosure of that sensitive information to certain allowed purposes. Sensitive information may include data like precise geolocation, account passwords, or racial/ethnic origin, when collected. Jaaspire does not use any sensitive personal information we might collect for purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the Service (for example, if you provide precise location for a feature, we would only use it for that feature). If in the future we handle sensitive data for other purposes, we will honor the right to limit its use.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment from us for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we will not deny you our services, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser quality of service just because you exercised your privacy rights. However, please note that if you ask us to delete certain data or opt out of certain processing, it may affect our ability to personalize the Service or provide certain features you enjoy (for instance, if you ask us to delete your data entirely, you will no longer be able to use the Service).

Exercising Your California Rights: To request access, deletion, or correction of your personal information as a California resident, you (or your authorized representative) can contact us through the methods listed in the Contact Us section below. We will verify your identity using information you provide (for example, by requiring you to log in or provide details associated with your account) before fulfilling the request, as required by law. If you use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, we may need to verify both you and the agent’s identity and authority to act for you. We aim to respond to consumer requests within 45 days as required by the CCPA/CPRA, and we will inform you if we need more time. These rights are subject to certain legal limitations; if we cannot comply with a request, we will explain the reason in our response.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. In practical terms, this means:

  • For active Jaaspire users, we retain your account information and content for as long as your account is open and in use, so that we can provide the Service to you. If you choose to delete your account or if your account becomes inactive for an extended period, we will initiate deletion of your personal data, except for data we are required or permitted to keep by law.
  • If you request that we delete your personal information (see Your Rights above), we will delete the information not subject to legal exceptions and instruct our service providers to do the same. Certain basic data may be kept if necessary for legal compliance or to exercise or defend legal claims.
  • We retain Usage Data (such as site log records) and analytics information generally for a shorter period, as needed for analysis and security. Usage Data that is aggregated or de-identified such that it is no longer linked to an identifiable individual may be retained longer for statistical purposes (since it is no longer Personal Information).
  • We may retain personal information for longer periods if necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, some transaction records may be kept for financial auditing or tax reasons) or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. In determining retention periods, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes of processing, and whether those purposes can be achieved through other means.

When we have no ongoing legitimate need or legal obligation to process your personal information, we will either delete it or anonymize it (so it can no longer be associated with you). If deletion or anonymization is not immediately feasible (for example, because the data is stored in backup archives), we will securely store the data and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Jaaspire implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit, secure server infrastructure, firewalls, access controls, and regular security reviews of our practices. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You also play a role in keeping your information safe by maintaining the security of your account (for example, choose a strong password and keep it confidential).

If we ever experience a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we may provide a more prominent notice (such as by email notification or a banner on our site) to inform you. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of Jaaspire after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
